Southern High School to receive President Obama's back-to-school
speech to students and a special visit from Environmental Protection
Agency Administrator, Lisa P. Jackson

Southern High School is excited about being selected to view President Barack Obama's "My Education, My Future" address to America's students. This educational event promises to be a wonderful learning experience as Lisa Jackson, Chief EPA Administrator will view the speech at Southern High and lead a discussion session with the students afterward.

Welcome class of 2013!
Freshmen enjoyed a fun and informative Freshman Orientation session on August 20th. Later that evening, returning and new Upperclassmen met their teachers during Open House. Best wishes to all Spartans as we begin another successful school year. |
